Diversity & Inclusion
Companies are made stronger by fostering a diverse, collaborative environment where employees feel appreciated and are encouraged to grow. But programs promoting Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) must not remain stagnant if they wish to be successful.

At The Bancorp, a diverse and inclusive culture is at the core of our business and remain essential elements of our corporate identity. Because of this, we continue to build out our D&I program regularly to better serve all employees, partners, and local communities.

Over the past few years, our D&I program has grown tremendously. Among other things, we have established an Internal Diversity & Inclusion Council (IDIC), appointed a Chief Diversity Officer, implemented tailored, enterprise-wide D&I training, launched Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), strategically partnered with diverse supplier organizations such as the Women’s Business Enterprise Council and the National Minority Supplier Development Council, and more!

With the continued growth of D&I at The Bancorp, we are pleased to share that we have added a Program Coordinator, Samantha Smith. In this role, Samantha will serve as a liaison between the IDIC and other departments within the Company and help us build strategic external partnerships with organizations committed to advancing D&I. This role will also strengthen our ongoing workforce practices, including the growth of our ERGs.

This added support is a testament to the positive progression of D&I at The Bancorp. We look forward to finding new opportunities to push forth collaboration and innovation in a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment.
